Beautiful all-mountain tour, with two great descents! We start with a 30 minute transfer that will take us to the Offenpass, over the Swiss border. From this point, a pleasant single-trail will be followed by a climb on a forest road to reach Alpe del Gallo, where the longest and most enjoyable descent starts: a sequence of switchbacks in a beautiful pine forest. On reaching the Cancano Lakes after a flat section, the last climb of the day will take us to Passo Trela, where a super-flowy descent will lead us down to Livigno lake!

This tour provides two Mottolino gondola runs. After a few berms and jumps in the bike-park, we reach Passo Eira and from this point a short (and occasionally steep) climb takes us to Crap de la Parè, probably the best place to admire a wonderful view over Livigno. Returning the same way along a fast single-trail, we keep to the left side towards Passo Foscagno and, after a short climb, a super-flowy trail takes us back to the Livigno lake. Once we have finished this first part, we take the Mottolino gondola for a second run. From the top, a wonderful trail surrounded by a breath-taking view over the Livigno valley takes us to Val delle Mine, where we can also eat in a typical mountain-hut. One of the most beautiful, and in some sections technical descents, leads us back down into Livigno!

This day is entirely dedicated to discover the new Carosello 3000 “Flowtrails”! Hans Rey has been working a lot for promoting the “flow”, which is a trail that is not too steep or too technical, so suitable for the majority. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, fun is guaranteed!
On this tour we will also ride a few “hidden” trails, not part of the “Flowtrails”. Distance and time could change due to the group’s experience.

Another great tour that’s an absolute must is the Val Viola, with various options. The most classical one is starting from the top the Foscagno Pass. From here, a fast and in some sections technical descent, takes us to the beginning of Val Viola. The length of the climb is 10 km, starting with an up and down single-trail and then continuing on a forest trail, which takes us to the Val Viola Pass. Before the end of the climb, we will stop for a good lunch at the mountain hut located beside a beautiful lake, in a unique setting! From the pass we enter Switzerland and from here a breath-taking single-track descent along Val di Camp takes us to Sfazù, only after admiring the beauty of the Saoseo lake in a beautiful larch forest. It’s possible to make the tour longer by starting from Livigno, taking the Mottolino gondola and reaching the Foscagno Pass climbing a beautiful single-trail.

This is a tour that starts with a shuttle to reach the Forcola Pass and goes over the Swiss boarder through the beautiful new Val Minor trail and returns to the Livigno area through another valley, Val de Fèn. There will be some bike pushing/carrying for more or less 30’, but all this hard work will be well worth it for the last great descent of the day; from Lago del Monte, one of the many Alpine lakes around Livigno, back down to the town after loads of exciting switchbacks along the trail!

This is the “MUST” freeride day, 3 downhill rides for a total of 3000 m descent, all in one day! We start with the first shuttle that takes us to the Forcola Pass, where we ride the “historical trail” which ends up in a fast mule-track taking us to “Angeli Custodi”. Here, the shuttle will be waiting to take us to the Bernina Pass where we begin the second downhill of the day, the longest and most technical, finishing in a natural breathtaking “toboga”! We return to the Forcola Pass once more by shuttle and, after a quick beer at “La Foresteria”, the last downhill ride takes us back into Livigno.

Today we are going to do one of the most rewarding tours around Livigno! After a 1h30’ taxi transfer to the Stelvio Pass, we start with a rocky downhill section that takes us to the Umbrail Pass, where the first climb of the day awaits us, with some pushing now and then. At the top of the Bocchetta Forcola, we’ll give you some historical information while being shown the World War One trenches and other military constructions. Here the longest descent of the day begins, nice and smooth at the beginning, technical and rocky towards the end. After having lunch in one of the mountain lodges along the Cancano Lakes, the last climb of the day (you’ll build up enough energy for this one with your lunch!) will offer us a special reward: a super-flowy and fast descent into Livigno!

This tour will take us right to the top of the mountain, Piz Umbrail (3033 m). Starting from the Stelvio Pass, an initially rocky descent will take us to the Umbrail Pass, followed by a 50 minute climb (there are also some sections with chains to help you!) It’s well worth the effort, because once at the top we’ll be rewarded with breath-taking views of the highest peaks of the Alps, giving us a burst of adrenaline for what comes next; an amazing descent along the ridge of the mountain, continuing through the whole valley, alongside little alpine lakes and sparkling water-falls. After all this fun, a short climb followed by a flowy descent through Val Mora will take us to the Cancano Lakes, where we have two options for our return to Livigno: a shorter climb with a fast descent on a wide-gravel road or a hard climb followed by a flowy and fast single-trail; it depends on you guys!

This is probably the hardest tour we offer, especially from a technical point of view, only for real enduro riders! Starting from Livigno, we take the Mottolino gondola, a quick ride in the bikepark and up to the Foscagno Pass, along a beautiful trail. Here we will appreciate the first downhill of the day that will take us on a new amazing up and down single-trail reaching the “Fraele Towers” and then….. up to the peak! There will be some bike pushing along the trail that takes us to the top of Monte Scale, but the scenery we have at the top on the Bormio Valley makes it well worth the effort (the trail actually goes through an ancient military tower from World War One!). Once at the top, a flowy and occasionally rocky trail will take us back down to Cancano, followed by a very technical part that continues on to Bormio (as this section is very technical, it can be avoided if necessary, by taking a wide gravel road, which will be suitable for most).

LEGEND

Disciplines bike

XC = cross country: relatively simple routes though certain parts could have some technical passages. Both hardtail (with just front suspension) and full suspension bikes, with more or less shock absorption are suitable for these tours.

AM= alla mountain: on these itineraries you can find harder technical sections, where a full suspension mountain bike with at least 120-130 mm travel is suitable, allowing you to get the most out of the descents as well as the climbs. Knee guards advisable!

EN= enduro: these are the most technical and challenging trails, where we can find however flowy parts letting our bikes run smoothly, but mainly rough and rocky sections where it is best to have a 150-160 mm travel bike (enduro bike) making most of their movement! Knee guards are a must!

Technical difficulty

S0: gravel or packed earth. No particular difficulties. Mostly forest and meadow paths.
S1: smaller obstacles like roots and small stones. Erosion damage may increase difficulty. Soil may be loose in places.
S2: obstacles such as large rocks and stones. Soil is often loose. Steps are expected. Wider hairpin turns, steepness of up to 70%. Requires some advanced riding skills.
S3: many sections with large obstacles such as boulders and large roots. Many hairpin and off-balance turns. Slippery surface and talus sections may be found.
S4: very steep and difficult, with sections having large boulders and roots. Frequent loose debris. Very steep sections with very tight hairpin turns and high steps that will cause the chainring to hit the ground. Some trials techniques will be necessary.
S5: very steep and difficult with big boulder fields and debris, and landslides. Speed must be carried for counter-ascents. If at all only short passages are available for accelerating and braking. Very few Mountainbikers can actually ride at this level.
